C.Vale

C.Vale is an agro-industrial cooperative operating in ParanĂ¡, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul and Paraguay. It has 151 business units, more than 21,000 associates and over 10,200 employees. It stands out in the production of soybeans, corn, wheat, cassava, milk, chicken, fish and pigs, and operates in the provision of services, with more than 260 professionals who provide agronomic and veterinary assistance to members

I worked at C.Vale between 2008 and 2015, in this company I participated in several projects in different areas. I joined the company as a junior systems analyst and at the end of my cycle I was a senior systems analyst. Having worked on several projects, I consequently had contact and experience with many technologies, some of them for a long time and others for a short period. I will list here the projects I participated in that I believe are most relevant during the period I was there.





Foreign Market Sales System

Developed in Linc, a proprietary programming language for Unisys mainframes, through the system the user managed exportation contracts, being able to control every step of the process, from contract registration to product delivery at the port. The system integrates with other modules of the company like as: billing, inventory, accounting, etc.

Internal Market Sales System

Developed in Asp.Net and C #, the system was responsible for the poultry slaughterhouse sales process. Through the system it was possible to register orders, price list, logistics control, billing and invoice. The system was hosted on an IIS 7 server on the company's intranet and can be accessed from any browser.

Industrialized Production Control System

The production control system has two modules, a desktop module developed in Visual Basic .Net installed on computers on the factory floor and another administrative module accessed via a browser on the company's intranet. The desktop module was integrated with floor scales and QR Code readers, in order to control the production process. The web module made the control of what happened in the production with management reports and also with necessary records for the configuration of the behavior of each production line and manufactured product. Through it it was possible to make daily/ weekly/monthly production planning (PCP), it was also possible to register product formulation and input purchase planning (MRP).

Maps Systems

Developed in Visual Basic .Net, through the system it was possible to map the routes between units and aviaries integrating with Garmin GPS. The agricultural technicians made the route to service a property with a Garmin GPS in hand, at the end of the service he downloaded the route and loaded it into the system, making it possible to map the route needed to reach a certain property. With this in hand, the system integrated with the feed mill system to determine the best delivery routes for the trucks, since a single truck could take up to 6 different types of feed and deliver to 6 or more different properties depending on the need.
